To take ownership of the deployment of a program (or project), from all operational aspects. Work with account management and the wider operational team, to deliver successful operational execution.
In so doing, provide leadership, guidance, and a clear vision to the operational associates - engaging, motivating, and developing the team members throughout the life cycle of the program.

01  Responsibilities

- To take ownership of a range of projects for multiple accounts, managing the Operational team to ensure that they are successfully delivered as per the customers' requirements, on specification, on budget and per project plan.
 
- To create an environment of continuous improvement by constantly reviewing methodologies, procedures, and materials, making, and implementing the agreed improvements.
 
- Ensure effective communication with the Head of Client Operations at all times, to collaboratively steer the smooth running of the active programs.
 
- Work with the Head of Client Operations to identify improvement plans to advance the efficiency of the program's execution. Identify risks, threats, and weaknesses in the methodologies of the approach to the delivery of the program, and encourage positive change.
 
-  Be the go-to leader and first point of contact for team-members for advice, enquiries, challenges, mentorship, and support.  Encourage ownership and decision making, within the team, empowering our associates within a Prince2 'Management by Exception' model.
 
- Establish roles and responsibilities for each operational associate within the team, providing clarity of purpose.  Delegate tasks to the operational team members and ensure these are executed to the expected standards and timeframes.
 
- For those Global programs, the Senior Program Manager will provide ownership of these key accounts, ensuring all associates across the Company's offices are providing the customer with the same level of excellent service delivery. In so doing, ensuring alignment and consistency of ways of working, both internally and client facing
- Where required, be willing to travel globally to support this goal.

-  To co-ordinate and manage supporting department to ensure all projects are completed within the agreed working parameters.

02 Knowledge

- To risk assess each project and evaluate and communicate any possible impact on the business of the company.
 
- To prepare detailed project plans for the completion of works, showing milestones for manufacture, sub-contractors, and installation. To continuously review the project plan, implementing control measures as and when necessary.
 
- Engage and debrief relevant departments and establish timelines (Gantt Charts).
 
- To establish and implement best practice inventory management processes and procedures, appropriate to deliver the program to all parties requirements.
 
- To update the client on the status of the project reporting any delays, issues, or challenges. Provide detailed reports from customer / internal meetings regarding all actions and deadlines agreed and attend program-based customer meetings as required and drive the necessary actions with the relevant departments throughout the business.
 
- Liaise with the Design / Engineering team to capture and coordinate any specification changes or upgrades to equipment.
- Launch 'kick-off' meetings including the relevant disciplines of the business. Allocate task ownership, clear deliverables and associated timelines.
 
-  To prepare cost and budget reconciliations, ensuring that projects are completed within the budget. To instigate control measures where projects are running over budget.

- Proactive
- Team player, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated
- Level-headed, reactive and solution orientated in times of crisis.
- Commercially minded with creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple competing tasks.
