The Role
To develop of point of sale display & retail fixturing concepts into working solutions from briefing, through prototyping, testing, final design detailing and production, and to oversee and take responsibility for the work produced by other development designers (employed or subcontracted by Frontline) when and as required

01 Responsibilities
- Develop supplied point of sale display & retail fixturing concepts into working solutions ready for manufacture through the creation of technical drawings and specified production methods and material specifications.
- Ensure all project documentation completed is accurate and suitable for manufacture (drawings, tolerances, materials, processes, finishes etc.) reducing costs and standardising where possible.
- Manage several projects simultaneously, using project management skills to carryout tasks in an organised and timely manner.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and self manage work flow project priorities.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, both internally within design and externally with other departments and suppliers.
- Ability to help manage, assist and direct other designers as and when required
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to assist with the management of the business, its client's, suppliers and employees.

02 Knowledge
- Strong understanding of current manufacturing techniques in plastics & sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding, joinery etc.
- Competent in the use of Solidworks ideally with knowledge of parametric modelling.
- A portfolio reflecting work within the retail design sector which demonstrates originality and a broad range of skills on live, professional projects for part and assembly modelling technical drawings, bill of materials etc.
- Ability to ensure designs are fit for purpose, within budget and meet the aesthetic requirements of the design intent and client expectations. This means also having a good commercial sensibility relating to the realities of production
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure
- Able to self manage work flow project priorities
- Knowledge of electronics / mechanisms and their integration into fixtures would be advantageous.
- Demonstratable ability to manage people and lead by example.
- Have a strong sense of good / practical design aesthetics to be help solve technical problems of a design while contributing to the design intent.
- Ability to manage other development designers

03 Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a POS design and manufacturing company working as a development designer
- Ability to test principals by making mockup rigs with suppliers.
- Workshop/modelshop experience.
- Managing the delivery of development design work produced by others
