The Role
Working on a mixed portfolio of client projects the Project Manager is responsible for managing, planning and direction of the larger and more complex projects from the launch meeting to the conclusion of the project, and as well as responsible for multiple projects at once.
They work closely with department heads to increase margin, achieve productivity goals and contribute to the company's overall success.

01 Responsibilities
- To Manage and ensure that all project targets are met.
- To ensure that a Development Designer is allocated to all projects.
- To liaise with clients to prepare a project plan defining deadlines and critical dates for both client and internal partners (include "required by" dates for client orders, approvals etc.). The aim is to assist the Account Manager to set the "rules of engagement" with the client through clarity if responsibilities for both parties.
- To maintain a current bill of materials throughout the project giving current project margin and comparison to estimate.
- To report the reason for margin deviations from estimate to the BU Director.
- To monitor job margins and ensure projects are completed to plan on time and on budget.
- To ensure that any client led change to specification is reflected in the modified BOM, and to calculate the resulting on-costs to be recovered by the Account Manager.
- The Project Manager is expected to observe testing and first off approval procedures. If a commitment is made prior to approval it can only be done with the approval of the BU Director/MD.
- Speculative costs may only be incurred with the authorisation of the BU Director/MD.
- To promote team-working behaviours, communication, professionalism and a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business and to follow company policies.
- To manage risks and to report major risks (and opportunities) to the BU Director.
- To comply with Company policies and procedures.
- To perform tasks as required by the BU Director, including leading project teams when and where necessary.

The Project Manager is authorised to Direct the project for which he/she is responsible. If the required direction clashes with the objectives of the employee or if resource availability constrains the required action, then they should seek direction from the BU Director.
