The Role


You will be responsible for managing, planning, and directing projects from the launch meeting to the conclusion of the project.

01  Responsibilities

- Liaising with clients to prepare a project plan, defining deadlines and critical dates for both the client and company.
- Maintaining a current bill of materials throughout the project, indicating the current project margin and comparison to estimate.
- Reporting any margin deviations from estimate to the BU Director.
- Monitoring job margins and ensuring projects are completed to plan, on time and on budget.
- Ensuring that any client-led changes to specification are reflected in the modified BOM and calculating the resulting on-costs to be recovered by the Account Manager.
- Observing testing and first off approval procedures.
- Promoting team-working behaviours, communication, professionalism, and a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.
- Managing risks and reporting major risks (and opportunities) to the BU Director.
- Performing tasks as required by the BU Director, including leading project teams when and where necessary.

02 Knowledge

- A good understanding of manufacturing techniques, materials, and processes.
- Able to understand CAD drawings.
- Experience of design project management, ideally in POS in the retail industry or else a similar installation industry.
- Experience of managing clients and suppliers.
- Experience of using project management software.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Ideally, a Project management certification such as PRINCE or PMP.
