The Role
We are looking for an experienced Operations / Factory Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of an in-house manufacturing facility producing high-quality retail displays, fixtures and shopfitting solutions.
Working within the beauty and cosmetics retail sector, you will be responsible for ensuring creative and technical designs are successfully translated into high-quality manufactured products, ready for installation into premium retail environments.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role covering production planning, plastics manufacturing, print, assembly, quality, people and dispatch, ensuring projects are delivered to the required standard, on time and within budget.

01 Responsibilities
\- Take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the manufacturing and production facility.
\- Manage the journey from approved design through manufacture, print, assembly and preparation for shipping/installation.
\- Work closely with Design, Development, Project Management and Account Management teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and commercially viable.
\- Oversee the manufacture of retail displays, fixtures and components predominantly using plastics and associated materials.
\- Manage manufacturing processes including plastic forming, extrusion and injection moulding.
\- Coordinate in-house production capacity, workflow, labour and machinery to meet demanding project deadlines.
\- Oversee the assembly and finishing of components and complete display units, ensuring products are ready for packing, shipping and installation.
\- Maintain consistently high standards of finish appropriate for premium beauty, cosmetics and retail environments.
\- Manage the company's in-house large and small format print capabilities, ensuring printed components meet colour, quality and production requirements.
\- Work with production teams to identify potential manufacturing issues before they affect quality, cost or delivery.
\- Establish and monitor production schedules, priorities and KPIs.
\- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, efficiency, waste reduction and manufacturing processes.
\- Ensure appropriate quality-control procedures are followed throughout production and final assembly.
\- Manage, motivate and develop production, manufacturing, print and assembly teams.
\- Ensure the factory operates in accordance with relevant Health & Safety, environmental and operational standards.
\- Work closely with logistics and project teams to ensure finished products are appropriately packed and prepared for safe and efficient shipping.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will ideally have:
\- Proven experience in a Factory Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager position.
\- Experience within POS/POP, retail display, shopfitting, retail interiors, plastics manufacturing or a closely related environment.
\- Strong practical understanding of plastics manufacturing, ideally including forming, extrusion and injection moulding.
\- Experience taking creative or technical designs through to finished manufactured products.
\- A strong understanding of assembly, finishing and quality control, particularly where the final product will be installed within high-quality retail environments.
\- Experience managing multiple production projects simultaneously, often against demanding retail deadlines.
\- Previous responsibility for production teams, workflow, capacity planning and factory performance.
\- An understanding of large and small format printing would be highly advantageous.
\- Experience within the beauty, cosmetics or premium retail sector would be particularly beneficial.
\- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning and continuous improvement.
\- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to resolve production challenges quickly and effectively.
03 Experience
You will be a visible, hands-on operational leader who is comfortable working across the factory floor as well as with senior management, designers and project teams.
You will understand that in the beauty and cosmetics sector, quality of finish is critical. The smallest details matter, and products leaving the factory must accurately reflect the original design intent and meet the standards expected by premium retail brands.
