The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, the primary responsibility is the control and support of projects throughout their lifecycle, through the structured management of the Projects Team.
Overseeing and managing the overall execution of projects within the company by coordinating project team members, monitoring project goals and objectives to ensure projects are expedited in an efficient manner.
Managing project allocation, monitoring individual loading, and focusing the team on effective execution within budget and timelines.
Balancing team management, alongside managing own projects alongside the team.
Maintaining structured departmental reporting and WIP information, reporting to the Operations Director on a regular basis, covering performance results, issues, risks and solutions.
Working as part of the Business Operations Team in developing the process and working practices of the business to drive improvement and inter department collaboration.

01 Responsibilities
PROJECT PLANNING:
Develop strategic plans and project timelines for permanent projects; working with the team in setting project goals, defining objectives, outlining key deliverables, supporting the team where required.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
Allocate and manage resources efficiently, predominantly team allocation and workload, whilst monitoring departmental budgets in both time and financial, to ensure successful project execution.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Lead and motivate the team, setting objectives in line with company goals, providing feedback, supporting team members' growth and development.
Both recognise achievements and address performance issues promptly, implementing improvement plans when necessary, with the support of the Operations Director and HR Manager.
Foster open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments, addressing conflicts promptly, offering guidance and solutions when necessary.
Promote a supportive environment that values employee well-being and engagement.
RISK MANAGEMENT:
Identify potential risk to Project progress alongside individual PMs and developing mitigation strategies to minimise project-related issues or delays, conducting regular review and implementing plans to mitigate issues.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, and suppliers, to ensure clear communication, manage expectations, and maintain strong relationships.
QUALITY CONTROL:
Work with the wider business and Projects Team on quality standards and QC processes throughout manufacturing internally and externally, ensuring adherence to specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
MONITORING AND REPORTING:
Track project progress and performance metrics, conducting regular project status meetings, and preparing comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall project success.
COMPLIANCE AND REGULATIONS
Responsible for compliance of health and safety and company policies and procedures both as an employee and as the manager of the team.
Ensure team compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, as well as managing any necessary certifications or approvals, in collaboration with Operations Team and Project Team members.
REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION:
Provide regular progress reports to the Operations Director and other key stakeholders.
Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations; includes Project Work loading and scheduling, Margin Variance analysis and Project Review information.
