Company Summary


Our client, a Globally based industry leader in POS retail design, is looking for an Account Manager to manage relationships within the portfolio and deliver successful instore retail design projects within their beauty sector.

The Role


As an Account Manager, your role will be to secure business, maintain good client relationships and to maximise revenues and profitability within customer accounts for which you are responsible. To ensure that these projects are executed to the required standard and in line with the agreed margin expectations. These include existing active accounts and new accounts to be opened within the agreed scope of operation

01  Responsibilities

- To manage customer accounts for which you are responsible. To set and implement policy within these accounts to maximise revenue and profitability on an international basis. To promote the interest of The Company as a long-term business partner.
- Establish commercial strategies within these accounts to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Prospect and find new clients within the target market segments / sectors agreed with the Key Account Director.
- To develop good relations with clients at all levels.
- To ensure that the offering is defined, is within the capabilities of the Company, and that the client has a respect for the CPA. Push back on the client to ensure that design freeze is respected and that lead time erosion is minimised.
- To create contact reports and quotations, ensure that Production Orders are raised in a timely manner.
- To ensure that a Project Manager is allocated to each project.
- To take direction from the Project Manager on issues that relate to the achievement of plan.
- To follow Company policies and procedures.
- To ensure any quotation issued is within the Company’s approval procedure and margin policies.
- To ensure that sales administration and record keeping is performed for the accounts for which you are responsible.
- To ensure that invoices and credit notes (or any instruction/input for their preparation) reflect contract and to resolve invoice queries to reduce debtors.
- To promote team-working behaviours, communication, professionalism and a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business and to follow company policies.
- To manage risks and to report major risks (and opportunities) to the BU Director and the board.

03 Experience

- To manage your own time and to occasionally work some necessary additional hours to complete your function as an Account Manager.
- To ensure project profitability in conjunction with the project manager and the Key Account Manager. Commercial responsibility is assumed from a price perspective in line with the commercial policy of the company.
- Co-ordination of projects with the wider sales teams in other business units is required to ensure efficiencies of approach.
- Full after sales responsibilities are required through the projects lifespan in conjunction with the aftersales personnel managing spares / updates.
- Sales forecasting and project updates on a monthly basis
